How long does it take for my long distance service to be switched?   After ECG has received a new account with proper authorization, the process takes approximately 3-5 business days. After the account has been set up by ECG, each customer will receive a welcome letter via e-mail explaining important information about their account.  

What are local toll calls?   Local toll calls are calls made outside of your local calling area but within an approximate area of 55 miles. Some areas may cover farther than 55 miles. These calls do not cover the entire in state calling only a portion within a close proximity around you.

What is an intrastate call?   Communication within a single state. Intrastate communications are regulated by each state's PUC.

Can I use ECG for my state to state calling only. I do not want to use ECG for my in-state calling.  There are two options for switching long distance companies that are available to any consumer of long distance services. These options are intralata (local toll calls) and interlata (regular long distance), which includes anything outside of the local toll call area within the state. A long distance carrier is unable to switch only the interstate or only the intrastate calls for a customer.    

How do i place an international call?   To make an international call: 011 + country code + city code + local number.    

Does ECG provide long distance service to all states?   ECG provides long distance service to the US continental 48 states.

Can I have international calls blocked on my phone line?   Yes, you can have international calls blocked from being made on your phone line, however, there is no way to block specific countries or country codes. An international block will block all international calls.
